We are the only gliding club in the Dartmoor area.

We provide the unique experience of soaring over Dartmoor. With good visability you can have a view of Devon from Plymouth to Bideford. If you are lucky, a buzzard will soar alongside you.

The club has two twin seat gliders which are used for instruction. Flying takes place at weekends and Wednesdays and most public holidays. As well as the initial flight, the cost includes three months membership of the club which means that, if time permits, a second flight may be taken at club rates and you can return during the three months to continue your lesson.

The gliders are launched to a height of about 1000ft using a powerful winch, then using uplift provided by rising air, the flight can be prolonged. Because the available lift is not constant, it is impossible to estimate the duration of a trial lesson but the average is between 10 & 15 minutes.
