Skid Pans
Training on a skid pan will teach you all the skills you need to control your vehicle in icy or wet conditions and can be great fun as well as equipping you with basic skills.
There are different types of skid pans, some have special surfaces treated with a non-toxic chemical which react like ice when wet creating conditions which are as unpredictable as the real thing, while others have cars that use additional 'jockey wheels' attached to the side of cars on 'dry' skid pans. Drivers will usually be under professional instruction enabling them to experience different skids and learn the techniques required for controlling them.
